Wise words from Sophia...
“Being a DJ is more than showing up its creating moments people never forget. I spend hours mixing, rehearsing, and building playlists, because I want everything, I do to feel intentional and polished. This work has allowed me to play for all ages, across every genre, at arenas, festivals, and events around the country. It’s not just music it’s meetings, practice, travel, and staying ready for every opportunity. To my fellow DJs: keep pushing. To new DJs: practice, be patient, and learn your crowd. And to everyone who likes, comments, or shares my content thank you for supporting me and keeping my dream alive.” Those video mixes you see on my page? I’ve rehearsed them over and over because I want them to be perfect. This work has allowed me to play for crowds of all ages, across every genre, in arenas, festivals, and events around the country. Behind the scenes, it’s more than just the music it’s meetings, staying on top of trends, and traveling wherever I’m booked to bring the right energy. It’s a grind, but it’s also my passion. To my fellow DJs: keep pushing. To new DJs be patient, practice constantly, learn your crowd, and study your music. Mastery takes time, but the journey is worth it. And to everyone who has stopped by my page, liked a post, left a comment, or shared my content thank you for supporting me and helping keep my dream alive. I appreciate you all more than you know.”
